So, I'm gonna do something I've never done before but inspired by an old college roomie of mine. I present to you...
My Daybook:
Currently, it is: Tuesday afternoon during Sweet P's afternoon nap (that I very seriously thought was NOT going to happen as she was a chatterbox and wired after coming home from school today)
The weather: 42 degrees with sun shining brightly and a few wispy clouds in the blue background
Outside my window: The grass is finally going into winter hibernation and starting to brown up. :(
I am thinking: How ready I am to move out of the east coast time zone. There's just some weird void that sucks time away so much quicker at the end of the day out here in the east. It's like it just falls into the Atlantic or something. It doesn't help that prime time TV doesn't start until 8, so you end up staying up until 11 if its one of your favorite shows that comes on at 10...which I dislike. Seriously, the world news should be on at 5:30 and Jeopardy at 6.
I am thankful for: a healthy body that allows me to be active and have fun at the gym. Love that burn.
From the kitchen: I plan on trying out a new recipe tonight for dinner...Jambalaya. I found the recipe from the squadron's new cookbook. This recipe just happens to be from a friend of mine who also used to be my backyard neighbor a couple of moves ago. Fist bump for this friend as she welcomed her sweet little cutie into the world last week and totally earned some momma badges. (Seriously, I must be in a mood..."fist bump"?)
I am wearing: my post-workout gym clothes; my USAFA sweatshirt and blue adiddas pants
On my "to do" list: cleaning up and re-organizing the basement...again. It seems as though this is becoming a yearly tradition. Although this could be our last year to do that as its getting closer and closer to moving time and we may not have a basement next place we live (shudder). The suspense is getting a little bit harder to deal with as the days and weeks go by. I'm so very curious to know where and when we'll be moving. Crossing my fingers for one of two places. I'm also getting increasingly nervous about trying to sell our house here.
And lastly, a recent favorite pic: We had a family lunch date just before Christmas and tried out a new to us restaurant. Ooohhhh....seriously so good. They have FABULOUS tamales and other yummy food. Its one of those little tiny hole in the wall yummy Mexican food restaurants. We will most definitely be going back.
