I'm home.
I can now get out of my driveway. I have incredibly awesome neighbors and friends in the neighborhood who cleared my driveway from both of the snowstorms while I was away for which I am extremely grateful. However, the snowplow then plowed its way through our neighborhood leaving a single lane road and a buildup of snow that prevented me from getting in or out of my driveway. But its semi-cleared and passable now.
I'm not feeling 100%...still. Last night was probably the worst night I've had with this cold in terms of congestion and a cough--which is kinda surprising since yesterday was Day 8 of this darn thing. The kiddo is also still dealing with it.
So both the driveway issue and our not feeling the greatest prevented us from going to church. :(
It's kinda empty in the house without the pups. Thankfully I will be bringing the pups home tomorrow morning.
In desperate need of food, therefore a trip to the commissary is a must today since they're closed tomorrow.
Need to buy a ton of kleenex. Then I need to keep it out of the kiddo's reach.
Almost want to buy myself a humidifier after having one all of last week since I shared the same room with the kiddo while in Colorado. Maybe that has something to do with last night being so yuck for me.
I'm amazed at how adaptable the kiddo is to time zone changes. Guess she takes after her daddy and me.
I'm tired. Not just from lack of sleep. I'm tired of this deployment and being separated from my love. I miss him.
My ears keep popping, thankfully. Plane rides and colds don't mix well at all. I had incredible sinus pain that I never knew existed until yesterday when we were descending. I'll just leave it at "ow".
I am craving some Girl Scout cookies and don't quite know where to get some even though it is the season for them.
I'm amazed at how much my little girl is changing and learning everyday. Simply amazing.
I'm so grateful for my family and friends.
I had a great time in Texas and Colorado. It was definitely a much needed vacation--especially after the rough month January was for the kiddo and me.
The kiddo is currently making me laugh by her little tantrum as she is trying to open what appears to be a cabinet door but is really just the trim. Gotta hand it to her, she doesn't give up.
Well, I suppose this little post of randomness should come to a close so I can finish getting lunch ready and then hopefully get the kiddo down for a nice nap in her own bed. Its been a while so we shall see...
