A few snow storm aftermath pics

When looking at these pictures, bear in mind that this was about a week after the last storm. I'm not entirely sure how much snow there was in total, I think between 2 1/2 to 3 feet, but 1) I wasn't there 2) there was a crazy amount of wind which meant a lot of drifting 3) despite not looking so, there was a bit of snow melt and evaporation.

Amazing neighbors and friends from the squadron cleared our driveway not once, but twice (since we had two major storms that dumped a ton of snow while we were away). So...what does our lovely snow plow man leave? A nice hefty pile of icy snow blocking my beautifully cleared driveway. It was so bad that my lovely friend who picked the kiddo and I up from the airport in her 4WD vehicle couldn't even get through. Couldn't get in or out until I cleared 1/2 of it the next day.

A view down the street.

Check out the snow drift up to the top of my friend's fence! Crazy, huh?

A view down our street heading to our house. This is closing in on a week after the last storm.

Just another shot driving into the neighborhood to give a glimpse of the snow.

A beautiful shot of Eli in the snow. Love this pic!

  1. The Tahoe is actually not 4WD--I think that was the problem. Well, and that the snowplow waited until people had driven on the snow and created ice to actually come plow. Glad y'all can get out now!
