SweetP shocked us big this week. I'm talking the shock that even her grandparents are wondering what we did to our little girl. We were all totally caught off guard.Last Thursday we met up with my love for a surprise lunch date at the BX. The kiddo had quite an appetite as we had played at the indoor playground on base with her good friend SuperJ just prior, so she ate a whole piece of pizza (seriously, it was quite a large piece). Afterwards, the kiddo looks around and sees Baskin Robins, recognizes they sell ice cream from the pictures and displays and asked for some.
Now to give a little background, I have to show this picture...taken not even a year ago. This was last April.

This was after getting our strawberry ice cream with m&m's in it.
This was after finally calming the kiddo down and digging each.and.every m&m out of the ice cream. Totally not kidding.
The kiddo has never wanted ice cream...ever.
That has apparently changed. So we figured, why not see where this goes?
SweetP and I went up and chose some ice cream. The kiddo then insisted she have a cone with her ice cream, so we splurged and got one. I figured my love and I would be eating it in the end, so I got the good cone and not the styrofoam kind.
Well, the kiddo surprised us and dove in. She loved it. She was a sticky, gooey peanut butter-y and chocolate ice cream mess. It was smeared all over her face, dripping down not one, but both arms, and a little bit on her shirt. But she was smiling and loving it. Too bad it wasn't for something a little healthier...like tomatoes...or some other better for you food.
Now I wonder (and fully acknowledge how unlikely this is) if it clicked in her little head that we told her this was good many times over...and being proven, if she might be willing to try some other things we tell her that are good for her too. ;o)

Oh my gosh, that is so sweet! I wonder if she will be asking for ice cream a lot more now.
