project 52:5 | snow piles

Photobucket These last few weeks we've had a bit of a break in snowfall, which has given the snow plow crew a chance to "clean up" the streets. But last night we also had a bit of a storm bringing warmer temps (a 50 degree difference with temps actually near the freezing mark instead of well below!) and a little bit of snow. So while cleaning up the walk way wearing only a sweatshirt(!) and discovering fresh moose tracks in our yard last night, I decided to investigate the snow piles along our street. At this point its hard to remember our yard being flat (and green for that matter) and not having these massive piles of snow around. Our front yard feels rather private with these walls of snow surrounding us now too.

To give a little perspective, I'm 5'6", and the piles of snow reach mid-chest or up to my neck. Yeah, lots of snow. Apparently this winter has been a real humdinger with a lot more snow, ridiculously colder temps, and wackier weather all around.
