a real work of art

Bet you'll never guess what medium this fine work of art was created with.

Want a hint?

I'll give you a couple.

Kiddo doesn't like ice cream...well, she thinks she doesn't...but she really doesn't know since she hasn't really tried it.

Kiddo does, however, like chocolate (not sure where that came from). Naturally, a love for chocolate automatically means a love for m&m's--especially when it comes to kids.

Mommy brilliance comes in thinking she could get the kiddo to finally try ice cream if there were m&m's in ice cream. Cue Coldstone.

Kiddo was excited and couldn't stand waiting in line and kept running up to the glass pointing out all the treats she wanted: m&m's, Reese's Pieces (probably because she thought they were m&m's), gummie bears, etc.

Strawberry ice cream (pink!) and m&m's, totally gonna work, right?

Ha! Oh the audacity to do that to those beloved m&m's! Pitched.a.fit.

See where this is going yet?

Enter in the napkins.

My saving grace.

Every last m&m was dug out of that pink ice cream, wiped clean, and savored by this assertive two year old.

  1. Laughing out loud at my silly/stubborn niece. Would have loved to see her all excited about the candy on display. Some day she'll love ice cream as much as mushrooms. :)
