The weather: It is most definitely springtime here. I have the window cracked open just a smidge and am listening to the seagulls squawking and the robins twittering while the sun is peaking through some morning clouds. It is currently in the low 40s but with the expected high to be in the low 60s.
Outside my window: spring green on the grass and bushes, daffodils blooming and purple pansies about to bloom.
I am thinking: about my looonnnggggg "to do" list and how its crunch time as the house will officially be on the market a week from tomorrow. Eeep!
I am thankful for: my sweet momma friend/old college roommate was finally able to take her sweet miracle baby home from the hospital this week after some pretty scary but God intervening circumstances regarding her birth nearly a month ago.
How awesome my parents are. Originally planning a vacation just to come out to visit and I didn't have any real "projects" on the agenda this time--until we found out we were moving and the house would be going on the market--oh, and that my love would head out on what I'm terming as a mini-mini deployment. Suddenly a whole slew of "to-do's" popped up. So now my parents are here to help me get everything squared away. But no worries, we'll be enjoying some fun stuff too.
From the kitchen: Made brats for dinner on the grill last night (which, yeah, isn't technically the kitchen...but I'll just classify it as my outdoor kitchen). None-the-less, I rocked those brats and cooked them per-fect-ly! Awesomeness, I tell ya. Pure awesomeness.
I am wearing: my pajamas...cuz I'm still in bed.
On my "to do" list: ha! That's funny. Well, today I need to take a load of stuff to Goodwill, call Merry Maids, call Habitat Re-Store to schedule a pick-up, work on those blasted nail pops and another ceiling repair project, start reorganizing the basement (different from the winter's basement re-org project), finish up my roman shade project for the craft room...and I'm going to leave it at that for now. Don't want to get over-zealous or anything. ;o) But we may decide to hold off on the ceiling work and nail pops today and focus more on outdoorsy "to do" items since we're supposed to get rain tomorrow. We'll see.
On my "accomplished" list: Another funny one. But I'm thinking this is a good one right now to show me that my over-whelming "to do" list slowly being chipped away. Anyway, the big one is that a big plumbing issue that we recently discovered the builder didn't do very good job at has been resolved. All the rooms of the house minus the garage and coat closet have been de-cluttered and started on "staging". Shelves have been painted, shades have been stained, laundry room is organized and wiped down, groceries have been purchased, realtor has been found/chosen. I really could go on for a while.
And lastly, a recent favorite pic:
Last night after dinner, we were finishing up the plumbing project we had and filling the hole back in with dirt. The kiddo loves her gardening tools (takes after me and her Papa) and was "helping" her Papa fill in the big hole. Too cute.
