Jar Cake: part 2

In answer to some questions:

I do have a couple of pictures, but sadly I didn't think to take pictures until I was mid-way through eating the cake...which is ridiculous considering how 1) it sat on my kitchen counter for more than a week and 2) I totally intended on taking a picture before eating. Sigh...

Anyway, here are the pictures I do have.

The jar cake! (1/2 eaten)

For whatever reason I feel completely embarrassed about posting a picture of the cake in the process of being eaten, but wanted to try and show that the cake really was fluffy and fresh-like.

As for jars...I went to good ol' Wal-Mart (I really mean that sarcastically as I truly despise the place) and grabbed a box of canning jars. They included the lids and rings as well. Now when I read through the comments on the allrecipes.com site, I did read somebody saying that the jars say not to use them in the oven. However, my box of jars had no such disclaimer. I did not have a problem when I did it.
