Project 52:35 | catching breath

Photobucket
...and we've reached a little lull giving us a chance to catch our breath.

We came back from Seattle and jumped right into having some out-of-state guests up for a visit.  My good friend from middle/high school and her nearly two year old son decided to escape from the summer heat of Colorado and explore and enjoy the beauty of Alaska wrapped into a visit with us.  While we didn't get to do and see as much as I had hoped to, we did have a chance to catch up and even meet up with another middle/high school friend who just moved here this summer as well.

Now the summer is winding down and we have a few days to take it easy before SweetPea starts pre-school next week.  The temps are dropping, the leaves are already changing and falling (totally serious), and pumpkin spice lattes are back at Starbucks. To celebrate this transition of changing seasons, the kiddo and I decided to take it slow and enjoy some "us" time and paint nails yesterday after watching some Curious George in our pajamas.

I can't say that this is the greatest picture, but it is successful in capturing the moment we had enjoying each others' company and also including little sis.  (That's my 26 week preggo tummy, by the way.)
