My "gettin' crafty!"

Finally! Several of you have asked and I am finally getting around to posting about my craft projects. I'm surprised there's been so much interest.

The first is this:

I've seen them laying on their side too.

These little bundles have been really popular this year and I knew I could do it myself and cheaper than some of the places are charging. Plus, maybe its just my beaming pride of doing it myself speaking, but I think it looks better than some of the stuff out there on the store shelves that I've seen.

The second is this:


Maybe its just from painting all summer, but now I find I've got the itch to have a paint brush in my hand. So I decided to have a little bit of fun and paint these little wood letters and background and then add a little bit of fun with the paper and copper paint. All I need to do now is attach a ribbon to hang it with.

Then there is my third project:


It's not even close to being completed yet. This is the undercoat. This will have a bit of wording written/drawn onto it. I'm really excited about this project and, if all goes well, I hope to do another project that's a little more elaborate for the foyer. We'll see! I'll keep you posted.

And finally, I've been inspired and had some major luck in finding a few jewels at Goodwill these last few days. I've got a lamp that is going to be transformed into something (hopefully) better and then I bought a table today for $5!!! I'm so excited about this one. I've never redone any furniture before but figured for $5, if it totally flops, at least it was only $5. So really, there's very little risk other than having spent $5 meaning no sandwich from Subway. :)
