Mischievous kiddo

Gone are the days of the kiddo just laying around looking at toys and not getting herself into trouble. :) I find myself somewhat perplexed at times on how I'm supposed to respond (instead of laughing) or questioning how to discipline, etc. But don't get me wrong, I'm totally not complaining as things are really starting to get fun. She's getting closer and closer to referring to me as "mama" and P as daddy...okay, so it sounds more like "a-da, a-da, a-da!!!"

But like I said, there are definitely times that leaves me puzzled as I want to laugh but maybe shouldn't.

For example:

What on earth is she grinning about? Could it be that she actually likes the kidney beans that I served her because I needed a protein source and this was a fast easy one?

Ha! Riiighhttt. What was I thinking? She must've inherited her dislike of beans from P. Although I have to admit they really weren't all that tasty. Yeah, she learned a new trick when she learned of a food she didn't care for. It's called, throw the food on the floor. Cute, huh?

How about this one?

Yeah, not so much a fan. The kiddo decided to play gardener on the carpet. When I discovered her sweeping her hand across the pile of dirt she had placed on the carpet she immediately knew she was doing something she wasn't supposed to. Know what she did? She ran out of the room in crawl-like fashion and was laughing like it was the funniest thing. It was cute but I was so not amused.

I just love this picture. She's got such a mischievous expression on her face here. Kinda like, "do I yank on Daddy's hair or do I not?"

Looks like she decided to hang on tight instead. ;o)

Such a cutie.

  1. Ha - there will be lots of food on the floor, I'm sure! We finally got one of those vinyl mats to put down under the high chair, which saved us some time and effort. And, at least, she wasn't eating the dirt - my mom has pictures of both Grant and I doing that, and then Logan followed suit :)

  2. We have no potted plants in our house anymore. None. It just wasn't worth the trouble. I figure there will be enough time to have as many potted plants as I want when the kids are big.
I love Laurel's smile. Too cute!
