2:: I'm amazed at how Alaska maintains its roads in the winter. Soooo not what I expected. We are referring to it as a bit of an ice rink.
3:: I laugh at how we would get a little miffed at our old house when the snow plow was a few hours later than what we desired. We've had snow off and on over the span of a week and a half. The snow plow has plowed our street a total of 2 times.
4:: As much as I hated saying good-bye to our Mustang last month, we're incredibly happy and relieved that we did for a number of reasons. The latest though would simply be ground clearance.
5:: Our cars are both finally outfitted for the winter season. One wearing a set of studs and the other a set of solid winter tires (Blizzaks for anybody wondering). I had my doubts that I'd be able to feel or tell a difference. But I was soooo wrong. They make a hefty difference.
6:: We can't help but wonder what the winter has in store for us. Its only the beginning of November and we've got a ton of snow. I'd be lying if I said that it wasn't a little overwhelming.
7:: I'm going to have some pretty buff arms by the end of the winter. I don't think I'll have to worry about gaining winter weight this year. I've practically been shoveling snow every day.
8:: With a slim chance of snow this evening, I couldn't help but be in denial when my love commented that it was snowing hard again. I said it couldn't be, that it had to just be fog. Eventually, we came to the joking conclusion that its just "fluffy fog".
9:: Snow pants are AWESOME...and toasty warm.
10:: So thankful that the owners of the house we are renting left us a snow blower to use. That sucker is going to come in handy...we can tell that already.

ugh. is it awful that i'm jealous that it's snowing?! it's 80 degrees in hawaii. there is no such thing as autumn here and it is DEPRESSING.

Amazing! Keep putting pictures up for us!
ReplyDeleteAnd, to Lori, I'd rather be in 80 degree weather in Hawaii than in Texas (though I don't mind Texas winters at all).
Where have you been, Kaylie? Are you hibernating this winter?
