So it's October and we still have a few weeks until Daylight Savings ends. Can you guess what time this picture was taken? Try 7:45 this morning. Yup, not kidding. That's about 15 minutes later than a week ago when it looked like this.

This is just one aspect of our adventure here for our first year here in Alaska. "Excited but anxious" is what I find myself telling people about how I feel about this coming winter. Ready or not though, its coming.
