Matty says "hi!"
The other day when I posted about all of our landscaping undertakings I was searching through all of my pics to give you an idea of what the overgrowth our front gardens had become. One of the pictures that I chose, you may remember (and if not, you can see it below), had a chair in it. That of course reminded me that I still had yet to post about my completed chair project.

Maybe you're remembering my title of this post also had the tagline of "...sorta" in it. Well, here's the deal. I like it. It is pretty. It has a bit of rustic newness to it...yeah, I just made that term up. But looking at it, it just doesn't quite seem right. You know why? Because with the bright white paint mixed with the rustic wornness, it just looks a little off. I mean, how can it be "worn" but still pristine white?

So at some point I need to pull the chair back out to the deck and put a bit of a tinted wash on it to age it up a bit. Either that or just wait for the moving truck to arrive and have them do the work for me...as well as putting a little more "wear and tear" into it.
Regardless, its a fabulous chair and turned out quite nice. It now sits in our bedroom by our floor length mirror. As a side note, I was a little worried that this would become a bit of a clutter zone of clothes we were too lazy to hang up. Having a toddler on the loose has prevented that from happening. ;o)
