During the kiddo's afternoon nap today, I worked on mowing the backyard. While doing that, I stopped to chat with my neighbor and showed her the bird's nest. To my surprise, when I peered inside, there were eggs sitting in the nest! Four of 'em! Totally threw me off guard as I have never once sighted a bird even close to that area.
Oh, and I'm thinking this little nester might be a little more clever than I gave her credit for. It has been super windy here these last couple of days and this nest hasn't budged an inch. On the other hand, our little tree at the corner of the house has now lost its second nest of the season due to the wind.
