A few months ago a friend of mine introduced me to "squeaky shoes" to encourage her son to walk rather than crawl. It was something that I tucked in the back of my mind for "maybe". A few weeks prior to my love coming home the kiddo was eager and excited to go for little holding-on walks while holding on to my hands or my legs. Then overnight, she suddenly just did not want anything to do with receiving help. Several weeks later I remembered those shoes I had not only tucked away in my head but also on Amazon...and purchased them. Well, they came in the mail yesterday and suddenly the kiddo has been inspired to take step after step. She's also piquing Matty's interest since the squeaking sounds like all of her beloved squeaky toys.

I don't know if those shoes really have anything to do with what I jsut watched, and I don't really think it matters at the moment either. What I do know is that she is up and really moving, and that makes me just want to shout hallelujah! Look at her go! Mommy is going to be running a half marathon every day from now on. And Matty will follow wherever that little girl goes wearing those shoes. Next thing you know, she'll be wanting to drive the car.
