Project Life: Week 3

January 10
She knows the bag of animal crackers in the pantry. It doesn't matter where I put it, she knows its in there and will do what it takes to get it. Funnily, I saw her reaching for something else so I lifted her up and instead she took that as an opportunity to climb and reach up higher and snag the bag of animal crackers from the next shelf.

January 11
Corn dog! I totally thought this would be a no-brainer easy lunch for the kiddo. To my surprise, she wasn't really interested. Sigh...the kiddo is keeping me on my toes.

January 12
Tonight she LOVED her chicken nuggets from Chick-fil-A. Figures I got her the soup in which to give her the carrots and noodles and me the chicken nuggets. I assumed she wouldn't be interested in the nuggets, so I ate the majority before offering her one. Sigh...again keeping me on my toes, she took me up on it and LOVED it and another...and probably another had I not eaten the rest.

January 14
Lunch at the Georgia House with Miss A and her mom. The kiddo really got into coloring for the first time too.

January 15
Swimming lessons at the YMCA.

Taking advantage of these awesome temps in the 50s and going for a walk! Really? It is January, right?

January 16
Home-made spinach pasta!!! I made this Saturday afternoon not thinking things through completly. The kiddo loves pasta but has suddenly developed the kid-phobia of anything green. So she's not quite so keen on eating spinach. Great! Make spinach noodles, right, to get a little bit of a veggie. Hehe...yeah, failed to put it together that the noodles would still be green, so it didn't go over as well as I had hoped. But, her tummy bug was on the horizon, so that may have also had something to do with it.

Oh, and what happens when you give the kiddo her first bubble bath? Have a sopping wet kiddo slipping and sliding on the bathroom floor as she is trying to retreat to the door saying "nononono!' the whole time. I tried so hard not to laugh. Fortunately, she did discover that the bubbles were actually fun. Too bad I didn't have the camera handy...but it would have been a video anyway.
