Feeling like a "busy busy bumblebee!"

I've been a wee bit absent in the blog world these last couple of weeks as I've been super busy with various projects around the house, enjoying time with my visiting parents, and just enjoying the little things. So, I figured I'd give a quick little rundown on what we've been up to.

I've painted the downstairs bathroom and just have a few finishing touches to finish up with and then I'll post a few pictures...hopefully I can find a before picture as I forgot to take one prior to painting.

While Dad was in town we worked super hard on a landscaping project that ended up being a wee bit bigger than I had originally anticipated but I think have some super awesome and amazing results. I wish I could post a picture (and I will--eventually) but I'm waiting until P can see it with his own two eyes. So, my friends, you'll just have to wait a little while longer since the countdown to P coming home is approaching (although not as quickly as I'd like). ;-)

Next on the agenda is to paint the finished portion of the basement in preparation for getting it all set up when P gets home. It's our post-deployment project/gift that we've been planning and preparing for since we moved into this house. Mom is going to help me with that this week during the evenings after the kiddo has gone to bed for the night. Hopefully we can get it finished before she heads back home.

Oh! And totally cool...in case you didn't notice, my Mom decided to extend her trip out here for another 10 days! She was originally supposed to go home with Dad, but because she got sick with a rotten cold that lasted the majority of the week of the planned vacation and because she's now retired, she decided to stay longer! Totally totally cool and I'm soooo loving the extra time of having some company in the house.

Well, it's now past my bedtime and with the munchkin waking up a little more frequently these last few nights and me fighting off that nasty cold my mom had (so far I'm keeping it at bay), I need to catch as many zzz's as I can.
