I am finally getting around to posting the pics of my latest house project during this deployment...painting the master bath. It was yet another one of those rooms I just couldn’t wait to get my paint brush on because of the sterile white walls. Not only did we have white walls, but white sink/counter, a white bathtub and shower, and white tile...basically one big room of white on white! So, the most cost-effective way to change this white catastrophe was to add some color via paint and a paint brush. Not the easiest task to accomplish while trying to entertain a 5 month old. But, I succeeded!
Using the munchkin's nap times and bed times, I was able to get the bathroom completely painted in two and a half days in addition to changing out the towel bar, toilet paper holder, and the globes on the light fixtures! I have to admit, I’m quite pleased with how it turned out.
Who would’ve guessed that simply following up on the chore of cleaning the bathroom would produce a painted bathroom! Perhaps you’re asking how cleaning the bathroom led to painting it. Long story short, I was dusting the blinds and as I was putting them back down the entire set of blinds came crashing down (have a bruise to show for it). So, I decided that rather than put those things up more than once, I may as well just get started on painting.
Now I am holding myself back from starting another paint project this week but am so tempted to start on the dining room. :)
