The weather: On the way to the airport that morning it was cloudy, foggy, rainy, wet, wet, wet, although it was rumored to be getting up to the 50s that day back at home. We were so thankful the front line kept the temps up enough to prevent snowy or icy havoc with our travel plans. We were definitely biting our nails the night before.
Orlando totally didn't disappoint either with its beautifully warm sunshine and temps in the 80s! As I assured my love, as soon as we had our luggage, I quickly held my to promise that I'd be shedding my shoes and socks and putting on my marjane crocs. Ahh...so nice.
Oh, and because of the massive storm system hitting the majority of the country during this trip, we hit the most turbulance I'd ever experienced. On the plus side, being married to a guy who flies the skies frequently, he assured me that everything was okay and not to worry and that he has experienced much worse.
Outside my window: appx 30,000 feet above the ground--guessing we were flying over Georgia at the point of writing this. Looking out it looks clear all around us, but you can see the storm clouds in the distance.
Sweet P playing "sunshine" on her daddy's iPad. That's what she refers to it as. It's really Plants vs. Zombies.
I am thankful for: Finding such a killer deal we scored not even a month ago on this cruise we're going on--like serious steal. How's that for last minute savings?
Sweet P's first pair of wings...perhaps she'll have another set in her future? Although we're currently thinking she'll be more of a marine biologist with her serious fascination with marine life. Seriously, of the two years she's been alive, more than half of it has displayed a serious love of fish. ;o)
From the kitchen: a semi-empty fridge, clean floors, clean counters, and a nearly empty fruit bowl. (Upon return we discovered that the home-ade pudding (intended to be pitched before we left because it was a total failure) was going to become quite the science experiment and have a party in our fridge in our absence. Seriously, it seemed like it exploded as it was everywhere despite not having been knocked over. Totally weird.)

On my "to do" list: Nothing but have fun on this vacation! Well, actually we did have to stop and get the rental car and then find FedEx to pick up the camera lens I rented (more about that later). But that was all fun stuff too.
First pic taken with the camera lens I rented. Had to make sure it worked! I so totally confirmed that it was the lens I wanted.
And lastly, a recent favorite pic: Fun picture I took while playing with my rented camera lens while we were driving from Orlando towards Port Canaveral with an overnight pit-stop at Patrick AFB.
