Aquarium

So I'm a wee bit behind in blogging. Over the last 2 1/2 weeks, my love has come home and ever since then its been packed with family time and yardwork. We've totally enjoyed our time together and are a little sad that this time is coming to an end and we're returning back to the grind of "whatever the military throws at us" being the norm.

Anyway, when the kiddo and I went to pick my love up from the airport, we decided to stay the night in a hotel near the airport so the kiddo could get to bed at a normal time and my love would catch a shuttle to the hotel since his flight was a late night arrival. This worked out even more beautifully when we decided we'd make the most out of our night in a big city and check out the aquarium the next day before returning home.

We saw sharks, big sea turtles, sting rays, jelly fish, dolphins, and even a two-toed sloth. Yes, you read that right, a non-water living animal. They had a rain forest exhibit there. Who would've guessed?

You have to look hard, but the two-toed sloth is in here...just chillin' in the trees.

Thankfully, despite all the changes that the kiddo went through in the month my love was gone, it didn't take long for her to warm up to him at all.

The kiddo absolutely loved playing with the magnifying glass in the children's discovery section.
